SSM License Policy by Version
1. Overview
This document summarizes recent changes to the SSM Viewer License policy and explains how licensing behavior differs by SSM version.
The PM Team Product Update (issued on 10 November 2025) is provided as a reference.
2. Background
Historically, customers could freely obtain an SSM Viewer License from the KHQ website.
This free Viewer License allowed:
- Devices (Camera, NVR, etc.) registration
- Recording for up to 16 channels for registered cameras
As part of a licensing policy update, the availability of this free Viewer License has changed.
From December 2025, the SSM Viewer License is no longer issued via the KHQ website.

4. Impact on SSM License Behavior by Version
Due to the above policy change, license behavior differs depending on the SSM version.

5. Note (Policy Direction)
- Free features are being gradually expanded.
- The long-term direction is to allow all functionality except recording without charge, while making recording require either:
- Viewer license (16-channel limitation), or
- Paid recording license.
